其實拆開隻機，睇下底板有冇SATA Chips就知道
Synology 4Bay常用ASM1061
QNAP/Asustor 4Bay常用ASM1062
marvell 係QNAP多Bay數機種會常見D

AL-314可以出4 x SATA 6Gbps / 8 x SATA 6Gbps
內建有埋10G Controller，不過要加粒chipset轉返做SFP+頭先用得
所以QNAP先會有出TS-431X2，價錢會貴TS-431P2少少

BTW....你果隻機要上左QTS4.3.4再起Storage Pool 先支援Snapshot...

It depends on your usage.   For instance, if encryption (volume or folder) is required, x31P2 would be a better choice.

Test scenario :
- upload 1TB of data to NAS
- avg file size between 1 to 3 GB
   
x51 (or any model running J1800)
without the support of AES-NI
cpu usage would be always reaching 99%

x31P2
with hardware encryption engine
cpu usage would be at about 2x-3x%

If multimedia is your requirement, x51 might be a better choice.  However, J1800 is still a bit weak (兩頭唔到岸) in handling such area.

ps.  I am using volume encryption in 431P2.

見大家咁高興， 我又由SSP檯咗set返屋企玩.

出一出街，TS-431P2  & 8GB RAM  咁就無咗近3K野.

I got both 251a  2bay & 431P2 4bay (bought today)

要玩multi-media,  都係買返ts251a.

431P2，加到8GB Ram,   差唔多成3K.

要4bay,  又要multimedia,  就   TS451A,
不過， ts451a,  算係舊款鳥.

利申：買呢部431P2，  打算要嚟一野replace 3部NAS
1.  D116,   
2.  TS251A
3.  HP  Gen7
