For 1), OpenOffice.org and Evolution in Linux have already solve outlook exchange server and documents problem :

1. Just wondering if MS Office 2003 can handle .odf; If yes, then I can start to convert some .doc now; I don't care about .xls as I don't use it much; All .ppt are read-only, so I can use whatever format I like.

2. Personally I don't like Evolution. But it's off-topic here.

3. I can try to figure out the VPN issue later. Just hope it is not some kind of proprietary protocol from WatchGuard.

我公司要求幫 d win2k pc 轉哂做 ubuntu ... (連 d program 都用 open source 的....一毫都唔想比果隻)
寫好哂個 unattented install 同 config 的 shell script, 換裝問題不大

最慘係 d software 同教 d user 用.....
有 d software 本來以為唔難搵, 點知有D原來沒
例如 可 edit 同 save multi-page Tiff file 的program
GIMP save 唔番 multi-page Tiff.....

thx, 試下先, 我之前搵到另一個係教你先save as mng format, 再係 shell 度行 convert file.mng file.tiff
轉係轉到....但結果出來個 tiff file 係全黑...唔知整錯咩...
另外又諗過先 print to pdf, 再用 pdf editor 改.....但改完 save 後個 PDF file 又沒左本來 d 野...煩到 hihi

所以...我的結論係....把 Linux Desktop 係商業機構度取代 M$ WIndows 係吃力不討好的....

It is because those softwares or applications are designed for Windows and Linux is just a child at the moment.

However, there may be a solution somewhere that we need to pick it out.

如果 print 的話，multipage tiff (即係 fax) 要用 evince (即文件檢視器) 來 print 先得，改我就未試過了。
要“完全”取代 windows 不是冇可能，要看什麼用途，又可以留返幾台 Windows+Office 大家 share 用，遇到問題就過去用。
