Below is the Remmina remote desktop which you can install from the Ubuntu apps. I can only show you the remote to my Mac since the Windows machine is only used by my mother but it should works with Windows.

Ubuntu will work on 10+ year nootbook. For internet is ok. But will quite slow due to not enough memory. SSD will help.

有，例如PUTTY。因為LINUX一般唔會有GUI。
