You must be kidding !!

The desktop or notebook requires the installation of SiI3531 PCI express card that supports port multiplier.  Then we will be able to see all HDDs via a single eSATA port!

port multiplier is not talking about the docking

the only requirement of the docking is, there should be an eSATA port

for port multiplier, I am referring to the desktop or notebook, check 4# again (with pics)

I have that 裸族四層大廈 before

It works fine with SiI3531 ... in desktop and notebook.  All 4 HDDs were there.

ps.  yes, in addition, we can also connect 4 eSATA cables to that unit ... from multiple desktops

1. Any specific port should be connected in order to see all 4 HDD with one eSATA cable?
2. When 4 eSATA cables are used to connect to 4 PCs, does each PC see all 4 HDDs?

你有見過乜野docking的產品有超過一個e-SATA port的嗎？咪講笑啦，我差D以為誤入左水區作答添！

裸族咁貴我就唔會買來用啦，但係一般普通的平價docking，有e-SATA和USB3.0的我就有幾個，全部都係一條e-SATA cable就睇晒幾個HDD。以前因為USB3.0舊chipset的兼容性差的問題，我一定要靠e-SATA port來抄資料過去外置HDD的。

我上面咁寫正正因為我上個 shooting 的網站睇過樓主呢隻 model 的資料, 話明要4條 e-sata 線的, 可接同一PC 或4部獨立PCs.  至於另一位 ching 話佢都用過用一條cable 就可以睇晒4隻HDD, 咁我就要代樓主請教下點做啦.
