Actually, all of the read/write are affecting the SSD lifespan, no matter it is a SATA SSD or NVMe SSD, you will not need to care the browser settings unless you need to turn on/off options or change the download folder or so on.
In the past, some may change the temp file location to RAM disk to reduce this influence (and improve the performance). However, the lifespan/TBW of modern branded SSD (e.g. Samsung, Intel, Crucial) are high enough for normal usage, even it is a TLC SSD, you don't need to worry about the lifespan. |
