Understand.  However, Seagate produces SMR, even for its 3.5" products .  For 3.5", I will go for Toshiba MG series!

噉樣用法真係無問題

放入NAS真係不了

SMR主要係做long term cold storage

始終未必間間公司都有咁多錢買tape drive

SMR就係一個直接簡單嘅替代方案

Contrary to what WD channel staff have said, the company is shipping WD Red drives using SMR technology. WD told us: “In a typical small business/home NAS environment, workloads tend to be bursty in nature, leaving sufficient idle time for garbage collection and other maintenance operations.”

TLDR : Buy Red Pro if you are hardcore (real) NAS
