One of the 3TB (only 9 months) got the following error (from QNAP NAS).  There was very serious 炸豆 sound before the Warning appears!

The other one ... "die motor" in 1 yr and 11 months

People always saying how good the toshiba desktop model is, ok it's very cheap.  However, its failure rate is no kidding.

No matter what kind of HDDs do we use, have to make sure always having sufficient backup copies (more than one).

Additional info:
HGST HDD is known for reliability/durability.  I think that's true.  I've been using a HGST 2TB for more than 6 yrs running at 24/7 w/o any problem!

For Toshiba, I think we need to go for its Enterprise series.

However, it seems the King of cheap drive (DT01ACA300 3TB) is still the no. 1 favorite of epc bros (many)
