I once upgraded to 1.0.2.2 and found ext SATA port could not be used. Now I use 1.0.1.13  without problem. It has been reported  in their official forum 1.0.2.2 have many bugs so now they released 1.0.2.6. Yet I will wait for more comment before upgrading.

if blackout or reboot occurs please remove any zipped subtitle file in the same directory with movie file.

Thanks for your advices. I would rather not do any remuxing coz it's defeat the purpose of getting a standalone media player (I can use ps3mediaserver to watch those mkv files without any problem. I got HD300A coz I thought I can watch those files more easily.)

As for the zipped subitites issue, I am quite sure that it's not the cause of my problem coz there is no such files in all the folders that I have tested (and had problem with).

I may try to upgrade the new 1.0.2.6 firmwire later tonight and see what happens.

try more files as I have not met any file not playable.I suggest you either downgrade to 1.13 or upgrade to 2.6. If problem persists better change it while 7 days last!

Bad news good news.

Bad news first:
Tried 1.0.2.26 and the problem's gotten worse. Even more files were unplayable with this firmwire.

Good news at last:
After downgrading to 1.0.1.13, all problems are now gone!!!

The dealer should be 金河國際 and Cxpitxl is one of their authorized dealers.
According to the dealer, they are the sole agent (行goods) in HK. You may look it up on the Internet yourself.

There are many similar products in the market. You can help a look/search before proceeding with your purchase.

i knew 金河國際 is the authorized dealer, as far as i know, there is another dealer called "Peng bo" distributing HD300A.
if $880 one is distributed by 金河國際, i will buy one soon...
HD300A costs RMB 650 in taobao
[RMB 650 + RMB 30 (shipping) ] * 1.13 = HKD770
hundred more to buy one year warranty is worth to do so~~
