Perhaps it's all about 物慾 these days??  Everyone has some sort of entertainment device ie. smartphones, tablets, memory-based Walkmans etc. etc. etc.

But back in those old school days, we had NONE
And simply bringing in a harmless toy (doll, yoyo for example) was considered against school rules
