Using 4 cell battery only....  It comes with an extra 8 cell battery!

I also bought one last month.  So far so good, the most annoying thing is the noisy fan.  

BTW, did U use screen protector?

Yup... the noisy fan is quite loud! But given that its running a U5400 and its so compact with 2 screen, I guess I am ok with it

Still thinking of if theres a real need for Screen Protector!

Regarding Toshiba Libretto W100 Screen Bezel near the microSD card slot:

We have been made aware of what seems to be a small design flaw that effects probably all the Libretto W100.

We have contacted Toshiba who acknowledged this.
They say they have no solution for closing the gap completely, and that this is part of the design of the computer.

This is the issue:
the LCD screen mounting is separated approx 1mm from the screen bezel near the microSD card slot on the top of the upper screen section of the computer.

Toshiba have said this should not develop into a wider separation or cause any problems. For example dust getting behind the LCD panel should not be a problem as they are sealed LCD panels.

Screws on each side of the screen will stop it separating from the bezel more than about 1mm.

Toshiba have said it's unlikely the gap will become wider than approx 1mm, however have told us they will fix computers on a case by case basis if the gap becomes wider.

In this case, as with any other hardware problems you may have with your PC - you can send it to us OR as the computer has a 1 year international warranty, we can help you obtain service in your country.

I wouldn't worry too much about this... because we have 3 yr international warranty!!

By the way, there is no chinese hand writing recognition ?
