今日$100有找在Cut*買咗個UNITEK Y-1039B SATA to USB3.0轉接器連2.5" HDD保護膠盒，接上12V電源之後插落SATA的光碟機可以正常運作，將內置SATA光碟機變成外置光碟機一樣使用。

Except this one has no power switch, not so convenient if used with optical disc drive

Not many stores carry the Y-3322, and definitely cut* does NOT carry it
Your best bet is 298, should be a few stores there that carry it
Just make sure you get the English-labelled version for full local warranty

Ching do you know any 4-bay enclosure uses ASMedia chipset?

So far only ASMedia chipset would behave what I want:
1. Don't sleep the HDD by itself
2. Spindown on eject
3. Report power mode properly


This UNITEK Y-1039B adapter I bought uses ASM1153E

It can report power mode properly, which is a very important feature I want not to wake standby HDD.

I think that Y-1039B is way more compact than Y-3322, here is how I use it:

個人覺得U牌好過O牌, 起碼同一樣野O牌都平D, so far買過幾樣野都OK.

As per my user experience, U牌 is much much better than O牌.

I don't use the plastic case shipped with the adaptor, just placed the HDD on the desktop on top of a static shielding bag.
