
NVIDIA 3 日低調推出 GeForce GTX 260 加強版,改用 D10U-102 繪圖核心, Stream Processor 數目由 192 個提升至 216 個,但產品官方命名仍然是「 GeForce GTX 260 」,究竟規格升級後的效能表現如何,能否拉開與對手 Radeon HD 4870 之間的距離 !?

作為效能級產品的 ATI Radeon HD 4870 ,其出色的效能迫使 NVIDIA 要把 GeForce GTX 260 降價對戰,是 ATI 近數年來少數產品能迫使 NVIDIA 降價變陣的產品,然而 GeForce GTX 260 在部份測試中仍未能在效能上完全佔上優勢。
因此 NVIDIA 推出新版本 GeForce GTX 260 ,令部份測試結果反敗為勝,但在 3DMark 05 、 06 及部份遊戲在開始 AA 的情況下,新版 GeForce GTX 260 依然落後。
後記:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 成本高昂,性價比卻不及對手 ATI Radeon HD 4870 ,的確讓 NVIDIA 煩惱不已,新版 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 的出現,在 PS 及 TU 單元上略為提升,如果售價與舊版相約,的確可以提升吸引力,讓用家再次轉投 GeForce 懷抱。
不過,對手 Radeon HD 4870 擁有一下的降價空間,加上新版 GeForce GTX 260 效能提升幅度並非明顯, ATI 只需略為降價已能化解對手攻勢,長遠而言, NVIDIA 必需要把 G200 導入至 55nm ,或是盡快推出新產品,才能扭轉現時高階市場的窘境。
